Abstract

The management of Gennamari & Ingurtosu mine, from 1927 to 1936, publishes the monthly magazine «Il Minatore» (The Miner). The magazine, official newspaper of Gennamari & Ingurtosu mine and group Pertusola, addresses the miners and the inhabitants of Ingurtosu with several purposes: to create a community life for workers in a remote area characterized by a high turnover of them, by widely scattered houses, by a strong socialist tradition and by the need to control leisure and working time. Creat or and editor of the magazine was the engineer Paul Audibert: Director of Gennamari & Ingurtosu mine since 1923 to 1929. In this essay we analyze the issues of the magazine «Il Minatore» published since 1927 to 1929, when the Engineer Audibert was the Director of Gennamari & Ingurtosu mine. There are 17 numbers stored in the University Library of Cagliari that allow us to analyze the technical aspects of the lives of miners in Ingurtosu, especially the first period of implementation of the Bedaux system of exploitation, logistical and health and social aspects. Through magazine pages and articles, the life of the inhabitants of Ingurtosu manifests itself in all its suffering and everyday life during the crucial years of the fascism.
