This essay is a brief description of the documents recording the links between San Marino and Uruguay and on the consular representatives and diplomats of both countries, as recorded in the files of both Republics and held in the Historical-Diplomatic Archives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montevideo. In the analysis of the sources we find some documents recording the activities of the consuls of San Marino in Uruguay at the end of the nineteenth century coinciding with a migratory flow coming from the small Republic straight to Uruguay, and of those of the consuls of the Eastern Strip to San Marino in the thirties. The essay includes an Annex at the end which contains the transcription of some of the most important letters held at the Historical-Diplomatic ArchivesDownloads
