After a brief and introduction on the role and functions of consuls from the Middle Ages as late as the 19th century, this paper provides some biographies of consuls of Regnum Sardiniae and the Kingdom of Italy between the 18th and 19th centuries. These consuls carried out their duties in the Mediterranean countries, namely France, the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, Malta, Tunisia, Zara, but also in more distant countries on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean and the Pacific Ocean, such as the United States and Peru.Downloads
