In the early twenties of the 20th century Italian m igration included, in addition to economic causes, a political component due to the persecutio n by the fascist regime. In Argentina, one of the favourite destinations, political exiles alo ng with some representatives of the local Sardinian community actively took part into the cre ation of an anti-fascist movement organizing the Sardinian Action Anti-Fascist League "Sardegna Avanti" in 1929. Here is proposed a short biography of Sebastiano Catte, an anti-fasc ist and communist from Nuoro, who took part into Sardinian League and Italian Anti-Fascist Alliance. Through the documents from the Political Register of the State Archive and those f rom the State Archives of Nuoro, the participation of Sardinian emigrants into the anti- fascist movement in Argentina is describedDownloads
