«Decreti dati nella visita dei Monti di Soccorso de i villaggi di dentro» da Antonio Raimondo Tore, vescovo di Ales-Terralba, nel 1834
Keywords:
pastoral visit, decrees, Diocese of Ales-Terralba, nineteenth century, Monti di soccorsoAbstract
The pastoral visits within the Sardinian landscape are a "privileged" source for the study of ancient agricultural credit institutions (already called Montes de Piedad or “granatici”, then “frumentari” and “soccorso”), which arose thanks to the Church in the late seventeenth century. In this article we deal with the study of unpublished decrees relating to “Monti di soccorso”, which are send to the parishes of the Diocese of Ales-Terralba, in 1834, by the bishop Antonio Raimondo Tore after his second pastoral visit; these decrees are now kept in Ales‘ diocesan archive, and we offer their complete edition.Downloads
