The paper examines the relationship between literature and heraldry, with a clear focus on valuable texts such as the best-known poems of chivalry. Not only. The work also focuses on the ‘heroicomic’ epic, a genre that developed in the 17th century in the wake of prestigious works such as those of Miguel de Cervantes and Lope de Vega. The essay includes an analysis of the theme and is accompanied by explanatory images.
