Tourist consciousness, which materially corroborates the intentions of over-consumption of space and time, is at a crossroads if we consider the ecological and habitability arrangements of territories, which are increasingly pressing issues. Therefore, the contribution intends to develop some considerations starting from the Handbook of Anti-tourism by sociologist Rodolphe Christin, which I comment on here, according to an anthropological posture, between experiences and analogies with the intention of taking up the gauntlet of the great exegetical challenge thrown down by the author: can we still call ourselves travellers?
