The State dues management in Villa di Chiesa: Camerlenghi and Clavarî Ordinarî in the royal city of Iglesias (XIII - XIX centuries)

This paper aims to study the history of three public officers in charge of financial management in the royal city of Iglesias (Kingdom of Sardinia), known as camerlengo, maggiore di porto and clavario ordinario. After a historical description of the economic and institutional context, the essayoffers a list of all known officers who were appointed to perform those duties from the 13th to the end of the 17th century.
