Knights and families in the royal city of Iglesias: a virtual reconstruction of the heraldic coat of arms of the Iglesiente nobility (XIII - XIX centuries)

This paper aims to propose a virtual reconstruction of the coats of arms of the nobility of the royal city of Iglesias (Kingdom of Sardinia). The essay provides a methodological note, some informations about heraldry, a short summary of Iglesias’ history and the list of the noble families of the royal city. Finally, it offers the reconstruction through the blazons of the known coats of arms.
