The aim of this paper is to analyze the relationship between hegemony, language and literature based on Antonio Gramsci concerning the Notebook A. We seek to highlight the joints of the question of American literature with themes of hegemony and of Americanism and Fordism extremely important to understand the political and cultural relations that settle the translation of A Notebook. In the context of American literary trends identified in the issue of the German magazine and its relationship with European culture reveals how to establishing the internationally hegemonic struggle. Finally, we highlight the importance of the educational process and its political dimension.Downloads
