Prevalence of genitourinary infections in pregnat women aged 17 to 25 years

Introduction. The urinary infection is characterized by the invasion, multiplication and colonization of bacterial agents in the urinary tract, which usually come from the intestinal flora. Objective. To determine the factors that affect of infections in the genitourinary tract in pregnant women from 17 to 25 years ofage in the Las Piñas del Cantón Milagro Health Center, 2017. Materials and methods. There search design was quantitative, non-experimental, cross- sectional descriptive, aimed at 33 pregnant women between the period of June - August 2018. For the collection of information a survey was used with 5 questions based on the research objectives. The computer tool that was used for the statistical analysis was IMB SPSS Statistics version 22. Results. Percentage distribution of genitourinary infections prevalence in 33 women surveyed who attended the control and appointments with the obstetrician, the results show a prevalence of 58% of the total of pregnant women, it was identified the factors that affect these are the lack of knowledge of 58%, the urge tourinate many times with 58%, the little knowledge of how to carry hygiene practices after the deposition with 67%. Conclusion. The prevalence of genitourinary infections in pregnant women is due to ignorance of them. With these results we can say that women are still confused or do not really know how to carry out or carry out their hygiene practices in an appropriate way.Downloads
