This article addresses the migratory flow from Northern Italy to the Province of Espírito Santo (Brazil). Through an exploratory methodology, based on a bibliographical research, using aspects of the Push-Pull theory, developed by Ravenstein (1885), it describes the trajectory of the Pietro Tabacchi Expedition. The settlers, rebellious with the conditions of life, escaped to other regions of the territory. It is noteworthy that, when they arrived at the Timbuhy Nucleus, part of the settlers eventually founded Santa Teresa, the first Italian city in Brazil, a fact contested by official historiography.Downloads
