This report contains the most updated results concerning Sardinia of a research project, aimed at establishing an index of the sources on Italian emigration. The project was put in place in 2002-2003 by the Head Office for the Archives of the Ministry for Arts and Culture. In particular, the report examines the data relating to town council archives, more useful to retrace the mechanisms which would direct the migration of individuals, families and considerable sections of local communities towards one location or another in the South American continent.Downloads
