La diagnosi psichiatrica nel Medio Campidano: analisi della psicosi secondo il nuovo paradigma basato sul trauma e sulla dissociazione
Keywords:
trauma, psychosis, dissociation, diagnosis of Sanluri’s Mental Health CenterAbstract
From the first years of the 1900s to the last decades of the century, the concept of dissociation fell into oblivion. It is only after the Vietnam war and the introduction of diagnostic criteria for posttraumatic stress disorder into DSM III that the interest in trauma and dissociation resurged. The influence of Freud and the psychoanalytic paradigm, as well as the Neo-Kraepelinians’ attempt to restrict nosology to biological aspects, eclipsed Pierre Janet’s work on dissociation and its influence on the definition of schizophrenia for many years. Shifting the focus to dissociative phenomenology will allow to reassess many of the DSM-V diagnostic categories and to improve differential diagnosis between psychiatric disorders.Downloads
