Abstract

In the nineties of the 20th century, the economic and social crisis in Middle Campidano area dramatically sunk with the closing of the mines and of the chemical and textile industries. In the last five years, such crisis has also been favoured by structural and cyclical deficits that caused the weakening of the productive system and an increase in unemployment of individuals of working age.
