The article deals with the arrest and internment of Don Francesco Maria Giua, the only Sardinian priest to be affected by the repression of the fascist regime. He served one year in Basilicata, between Pisticci Internment Camp and Colobraro where he was eventually transferred for health reasons. He was accused of d efeatism because of a homily on the theme of peace and against the horrors of war prono unced on Sunday, May 28, 1940 in the church of St. John the Baptist in Balascia, a little village near Oschiri.Downloads
